Summer Infant: The Perfect Bath Seat

January 11, 2020 in Motherhood

Hey guys!

I love sharing some of our perfect finds for the kids! I shared the Summer Infant My Bath Seat to my Instagram stories and received a ton of questions. So I figured a blog might be an even better reference and tool for my momma friends!

What’s the Summer Infant Bath Seat?
The bath seat is an extra set of hands for mom and dad and added support for a sitter and infant transitioning to being more mobile. The tub fits standard sized tubs and has three arms with secure suction cups.

Why we LOVE the Summer Infant Bath Seat?
There are several reasons why we use our bath seat: safety, mobility, and play.

Safety. The seat provides a sense of security and support for my son, Duke. His beginner bathtub became a safety concern as he grew older and became more mobile. He could easily tip the bather over, and it worried us. Finding this seat was a game-changer and gave us the security we needed, and flexibility to bathe both kids and “enjoy” bath time with them. If you need to be hands-free at times, then this seat is a great option.

Mobility. Duke is a busy boy, and like most infants, he doesn’t understand “boundaries.” His natural desire to be mobile and explore shines through the more he grows. However, the tub isn’t the best place to “explore.” The Summer Infant My Bath Seat gives him the secured mobility needed to learn and grow. The high design backrest also provides additional support for his developing body.

Play. Of course, the most significant part of bath time is play! I am not kidding, you once my son hears the sound of the water running he is crawling to me and begging to get in the tub. He thoroughly enjoys bath time, and as his mom, I want it to be safe and fun for him.

I was looking for a good bath for my newest addition….what age is recommended for the seat? Do it have a newborn/pre-sitting option?

As a mom of 3, soon to be 4 littles all under the age of 5, I live by a routine. If I’m off on the routine it will literally shake up my entire day.
•
I’m often told that I make it look easy, and I want to be clear there is nothing easy about this work. It’s an honor to be a mom, but it’s not easy. It requires discipline, routine, commitment, and guidance from the Holy Spirit. If I ever “wing it”, it is felt and honestly overwhelming so I stick to what works for us.
•
Even when pregnancy has me worn out and exhausted from the day, I can pull from my true source of strength — the Holy Spirit. Being filled with the spirit — and bearing good fruit: self control, gentleness, joy, peace….is a daily invitation. Thats why Paul writes in Ephesians 5:18 (AMP) “but be filled with the Holy Spirit and CONSTANTLY guided.”
•
So in all things and in all actions — guided. Even if in this season it’s as simple as fixing lunches the night before. Do the little things well.

The part that tickles me the most, the line about the roof. But honestly when you think about all God has blessed you with we have so many reasons to be thankful and grateful for what we have — a kitchen, a roof 🙌🏽

If anyone is shopping for me — I’m a size six bedroom house, with a finished basement, 3 car garage, and wrap around porch. You can go ahead and add the pool if you just wanna add a little razzle dazzle.

1 Corinthians 10:31 // Lord, let everything my children do bring glory and honor to you. Let their lives be a walking illustration of your faithfulness and point people to the goodness and truth of the gospel of Jesus.
